  • Standard curves are from the National Center for Health Statistics, as published in Nelson's Essentials of Pediatrics, p. 11.
  • Head size is the circumference, using the largest circle possible that includes the forehead and the fatty part of the back of the head.
  • Measurements are plus or minus 1/8 inch.
